Mechanical works are carried out alongside our own construction and maintenance projects, within our framework agreements with Staffordshire County Council and Entrust Education, or direct to other commercial and private clients.

Planned Work
Planned work can cover almost anything from basic plumbing repairs, a full heating system upgrade, to energy saving LED lighting upgrades. Where work is required in occupied areas such as schools, care homes or commercial buildings we will carefully plan out proposed schedule, taking into account all of the necessary risk assessments for Health & Safety, liaising with the client at all stages of the planned works.
A percentage of our planned works occur during periods of shutdown so as to cause minimal disruption to the clients’ business. As a Principal Contractor our team is experienced with working closely with other trades on site to ensure that everyone works together, delivering a quality job on completion that we can all be proud of.

Preventative Serving Work
A well-maintained building can operate more efficiently, for many years, which gives the building a safer, more efficient facility for all who use it. Commercial boilers and heating systems have a habit of breaking when they are under the greatest strain – when it’s too cold or too hot outside – and this is why preventative servicing work should never be overlooked.
Broken heating systems can result in a loss of working or teaching days, but with a regular preventative servicing contract this is almost always preventable if your systems are well maintained on a regular basis.

Responsive Emergency Work
Within the education sector, when a system fails there’s a risk that you may need to close your school or college. Good preventative maintenance should prevent the vast majority of breakdowns, but some will inevitably still occur – particularly with older systems that may not have been well maintained throughout their lifespan.
